5 WAYS TO TURN AROUND A RUFF DAY
You know those nights when you wake up every hour? And just when you thought 4 hours of sleep will do you justice, you sleep through your alarm. It’s okay cause you’ve still got 30 minutes to get your life together before you rush out the door. Since life is soo funny, it decides to throw traffic your way on your commute--so you take a detour to beat the odds but there’s construction. You finally made it into work thinking the journey to a bad day is going to end there and as you’re sitting in your office you realize you’ve forgotten the one thing you needed to bring to work...and from then on, it’s a domino effect that throws the rest of your day off.
Bikergang, let us tell you something--you’re too good to let a bad day take control over you and ruin your day just like that! So here’s a couple of simple ways to make your day yours again!
THE PEP TALK

Okay, first things first. As easy as it is to put yourself down on how you should’ve known better or how you should’ve done this instead of that--just stop. You’ve already had a rough start to your day so why kick yourself while you’re down?! Oh no no, you don’t need that type of negativity in your life right now. For every negative thought you have of yourself, replace it with a positive one! You are your own hype woman/man--you’re too fresh to let a bad day get a hold of you, Bikergang!
“It’s okay, just let it go..”
Before you let the situation get to you, take a quick step back from it and take some time to yourself. We don’t want to make rash decisions that will make matters worse. So what we’re gonna do instead is breathe, deeply and consciously for a few minutes. Not only will this help you reduce the current state of stress you’re in, but it’s also therapeutic--it helps you transition into a calmer state of mind. This will also be a good time to purge through the negativity. After you’ve reset yourself, come back to it with a different perspective and a fresh mindset.

Okay, we don’t even need to explain the science of it when you hug a fur baby! It’s real life magic--your bad day has now magically disappeared into thin air and you’re left with “what was I even upset about?!” type of feeling. For those that don’t have a fur baby on hand, we’ve got another trick for you--watching videos of them alone will instantly make you feel better because you can’t help but smile! OR you could also head down to a local animal shelter and share ALL your love to the puppers in need of them, it’s a win-win situation!
SHAKE YOUR GROOVE THANG
Play that track, turn up the volume, channel your inner diva, dance it out and while you’re at it--sing it out loud too boo! Get loose, feel the rhythm in your soul and groove to the beat. There’s no time for perfection, just move the way you want that makes you happy. Do yourself a favoUr and leave your problems at the door--you don’t need that right now, what you need is: a space for you, a good tune and your moves.
SWEAT IT OUT
“Let it all out, my friend.”
Get your heart rate up and get a good sweat on! It could be going for a run, walking your dog, going to the gym or coming in YEG Cycle for a killer spin session. Whatever it may look like for you, make sure you get a good workout even if it’s for 30 minutes--it’s still better than nothing. Not only are you being active, but you also release positive endorphins in your body at the same time, which will help elevate your mood!
